I am Manvir Singh Cheema, a 4th year Honors Computer Science student at York University. Originally from a Punjabi immigrant family in Malton, Ontario, I have a diverse background that spans across tech, sports, and automotive mechanics.
My academic focus is Computer Science within the Lassonde Engineering Program. Despite initial challenges, including no prior coding experience, the supportive community and my innate resilience helped me overcome these hurdles, affirming my passion for technology and problem-solving.
Born and raised in Malton and later Brampton, I have been exposed to a variety of cultures, which has taught me the value of empathy and adaptability—traits that are crucial in leadership.
As part of my professional journey, I have completed internships in software development, where I gained hands-on experience in full-stack development, coding, debugging, and system optimization.

This vision emphasizes creating accessible products that make a real difference in people’s lives, leveling the playing field for those without easy access to modern technology.
A pivotal figure in my life is my father, whose journey back to India to become a pilot has profoundly inspired my drive to pursue my goals with determination and faith. The song "Piece by Piece" by 50 Cent also resonates with my personal philosophy of building resilience one step at a time.
